GLENS FALLS  On a night when offense was virtually nonexistent, the Glens Falls Greenjackets’ defense came through with points.

Linebackers Raquan Sanders and OC West turned fumbles into touchdowns Saturday night, as the Jackets rolled to a 21-0 Empire Football League victory over the Plattsburgh North Stars.

“Another week where we swarmed around and had an opportunity to get a lot of turnovers,” said West, whose fumble recovery in the end zone gave Glens Falls a 14-0 lead to start the fourth quarter. “It was nice to help the offense out — they’ve got injuries and missing guys.”

The Jackets, who improved to 3-3 with the win, avenged an earlier loss to the North Stars (3-4) despite missing starting quarterback Jack Gibbs and leading rusher Zorry Williams.
