FRANKFORD – The Sussex Stags defense seemed to take the first drive of the second half personally.

The Glens Falls Greenjackets gutted the Stags for a nine-play, 80-yard drive that ended with running back Leejay Pollachi scampering untouched into the end zone from 3 yards out to take the lead, but Sussex had a loud response.

Stags quarterback Joe Enslin capped a nine-play drive with a rushing touchdown and the defense sacked Greenjackets quarterback Denny Wilhelm on back-to-back plays, including a safety by Matt Landolfi, to take a 19-13 lead at the 13:58 mark of the fourth quarter.

The game was stopped for a lightning delay with 9:09 remaining and the Stags holding the ball on the 3-yard line on 1st-and-goal. Sussex would go on to score and take a 27-20 result over the Greenjackets on Saturday night at Newton High School.
