Watertown Red & Black’s Spies works hard to be life of party

WATERTOWN — Warren Spies arrives to Watertown Red and Black games and practices later than most of his teammates, often sore from a long day of pouring concrete and working construction.

When the 33 year-old Adams Center native walks into the already-full locker room, he’s greeted with shouts of: “Here comes the party.”
Spies spends the few minutes he has to get ready making his teammates laugh and hyping them up with a level of intensity few can reach, before taking the field and mustering his remaining energy to wreak havoc on opposing offenses.
