NEWTON, N.J. — Ben Cramer capped off a strong performance with a 50-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining for Sussex, slamming the door on a Watertown comeback bid and securing a 31-23 victory in the Empire Football League semifinals Saturday night at Newton High School.
The rookie runner’s touchdown gave the Stags a 31-17 lead after the Red and Black had rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to pull to within a score.
