SYRACUSE — The Glens Falls Greenjackets ran into a buzzsaw Saturday night, losing to the undefeated Syracuse Strong, 28-0, in the Empire Football League semifinals.
Quarterback Marty Clanton threw two touchdown passes, including a 93-yard screen with 8:04 left in the third quarter. Syracuse (11-0) also had two field goals and a safety in the victory.
For the Greenjackets (7-5), Kendall Converse led the defense with 18 tackles and three sacks. Ed Byrnes added 11 tackles. Offensively, Jordon Charbonneau had 42 yards receiving.
