PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh North Stars suffered their third straight loss of the season to the Mohawk Valley Nighthawks, 33-14, Saturday at Melissa L. Penfield Park.

The North Stars (4-3) were within striking distance at halftime, trailing 20-14, but couldn't come together to break even in Empire Football League action.

“I thought the big point of the game was the fact that we turned the ball over too much, and we paid for it,” Plattsburgh coach Scott Aguglia said.

North Stars' quarterback Harry Rascoe had 14 completions on 30 attempts, four interceptions and 176 yards. He also rushed for two attempts with seven yards and a touchdown.

The Nighthawks (3-3) rushed for a total of 217 yards with running back J'Von Evans (121) attributing more than half. He recorded a passing touchdown as well as a rushing score.
